Zoroastrianism is the monotheistic faith established by the Persian prophet Zoroaster (also given as Zarathustra, Zartosht) between c. 1500-1000 BCE. It holds that there is one supreme deity, Ahura Mazda (Lord of Wisdom), creator and sustainer of all things, and encourages adherents to express their faith through the principle of Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds. The whole idea of my current project is around the Zoroastrian demonology and how they affect human lives, hence learning more about this religion is mandatory and fortunately, there are excellent sources both in Persian and English. The article on this website (world history.org) by Joshua J. Mark, a freelance writer and former part-time Professor of Philosophy at Marist College, New York, is a bit brief but it has all the necessary information.
