Hootan Haghshenas, CSI
Hootan Haghshenas is a Melbourne-based colourist, finishing artist, and digital image maker with more than 14 years of experience across feature films, television, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. Known for his strong visual sensibility and deep understanding of colour science and post-production workflows, his work combines cinematic storytelling with refined technical execution.
Hootan studied Cinematography at the Art University of Tehran before completing a Master of Photography at the RMIT University. Alongside his work in post-production, he has developed a parallel artistic practice focused on staged photography, digital image making, and cinematic visual compositions. His works have been exhibited in galleries and group exhibitions internationally, including in Melbourne.
Throughout his career, Hootan has worked as a senior colourist and finishing artist on a wide range of productions for cinema, streaming, and broadcast platforms. His expertise spans HDR and SDR mastering, advanced colour pipelines, VFX integration, and finishing workflows. His work is recognised for its cinematic style, attention to detail, and ability to shape distinctive visual identities for each project.
